Optics Frontier—The 6th National Conference on Information Optics and Photonics and the International Workshop on Information Optics Technology (CIOP2014) will take place from July 22-27, 2014 in Changchun, Jilin. Hosted by Chinese Laser Press and organized by Jilin University, this conference is expected to attract 400 attendees. A number of international experts on information optics will also be invited to give presentations. 

Call for Papers

The objective of CIOP2014 is to explore the latest accomplishments in the fields of optical communication, optical network technology, optical signal processing, optical image processing technology, photonic devices, integrated optics, microstructure photonics, advanced optical functional materials technology and application, and advanced photoelectric device technology. This conference is targeted at all researchers from universities, research institutes, and hi-tech enterprises. We are pleased to invite you to submit high quality papers in either Chinese or English.  

The accepted papers will be published in Chinese Optics Letters (English, supplement issue, EI indexed), Journal of the European Optical Society: Rapid Publications (JEOS:RP) (English, EOS, SCI indexed), Acta Optica Sinica (Chinese/English, regular or supplement issue, EI indexed), Chinese Journal of Lasers (Chinese/English, regular or supplement issue, EI indexed), High Power Laser and Particle Beams (Chinese, regular issue, EI indexed), Acta Photonica Sinica (Chinese/English, regular or supplement issue, EI indexed), Laser & Optoelectronics Progress (Chinese/English, regular issue, publication period as short as 60 days), Optics & Optoelectronics Technology (regular issue), Laser Journal (regular issue). All papers will be peer-reviewed prior to the conference. At least one author of each accepted paper is requested to attend the conference. Notice of acceptance will be given to the author at on-site registration. (Refer to our conference website for more information on manuscript submission and publishing policies.)

Outstanding English papers will be published in the English journal of Photonics Research, which is co-published by Chinese Laser Press and the Optical Society.

Full Paper Submission Deadline: May 26, 2014 (Notice of acceptance will be given before Jun 27, 2014 for papers submitted before May 26, 2014; Papers submitted after May 27, 2014 will be reviewed after the conference. )
Early Bird Registration Deadline: July 15, 2014 (online registration and payment required)
Concurrent Events: Launch session of the laboratory optoelectronics products; Commemoration meeting of the centenary birthday of academician Gao Dingsan

Registration Fees:

• Regular attendees: RMB 2,200; students: RMB 2,000 (after July 15, 2015 )
• Early bird: RMB 1,800 for regular attendees; RMB 1,500 for students (before July 15, 2014)
• Meals and accommodations will be arranged by the organizer. Please note that all the expenses associated are to be covered by the individual participant.

To enhance the cooperation between academic societies and industrial circles, optoelectronics companies are welcome to co-organize and sponsor this conference. Interested companies will be offered opportunities to advertise on the conference materials and website.
